What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of metaphysical energy work, where the practitioner moves energy from the palms of her hands into the client’s body to release blockages and to support the client in self-healing. It is sometimes called “the laying on of hands”, though it can be done by hovering the hands a few inches above the client. It was first named in the Japan in the early 1900s, but most believe it to be an ancient healing art that was previously passed down verbally from Master to student.

What to expect during a Reiki session:
-
An initial session will be 2 hours; up to 30 minutes to discuss your specific goals, taking down a light history/background information, and answering any questions. Follow up sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes, and multi-session discounts are available.
-
Reiki treatments are performed with you fully clothed (please, dress comfortably), lying on a state-of-the-art, heated massage table adjusted for your personal comfort.
-
Lighting is minimal, and soft music is played to assist you in relaxing. Aromatherapy is available at no additional charge, using only CTPG (certified therapeutic pure-grade) doTERRA essential oils.
-
Asking questions during your actual treatment time is allowed, though most prefer to ask questions before and afterward, enjoying the peace and relaxation that Reiki induces. Drifting or “nodding off” is quite normal, and you will still receive all the benefits of Reiki even if you do fall completely asleep.
